APPROACH

Specialties

  • Australian native plants
  • Small gardens

We will undertake landscaping work from consultancy through to design, construction project management and maintenance.

We also offer consultancy, design, construction project management and maintenance as individual services.

Plants
Landscape Botanica's focus is on creating beautiful gardens using plants.

Many beautiful natives come from regions in Australia were the summer is very dry. The summer wet of Sydney and the eastern seaboard is not to their liking. To overcome this problem we use grafted species so our clients can experience the joy of having beautiful plants uncommon to the the region.

How we work - developing designs with our clients

Consultancy phase

From the very beginning we listen to you, the client. We ask what kind of feelings you expect from your garden.

For example, you might want a sense of retreat, formality, oneness with nature, warm/cool oasis, fun, bounty.

We ask what you like and dislike about your current garden; we ask what you imagine the garden to be in years to come or whether you require a garden to help sell your property.

We ask what you will do in the garden and who will use it, whether there are children, senior citizens and pets who will use the garden.

Your lifestyle
We find out about your lifestyle: do you have time to maintain a garden; do you go away a lot anhd is watering a problem; do you wish to grow food or medicinal plants?

Our aim is to give you more than you imagined.

Preliminary plans
Once the consultancy phase is complete, we produce plans showing the fundamentals of the design. This preliminary plan is accompanied by a report detailing points of discussion and recommendations.

This is the time for finalising the main aspects of the design.

Drawing up plans
Once you're happy with the amended design, we draw up detailed plans and make any necessary revisions to the report.

Final quote
Once you sign off on the plans and report, we present you with a final quote.

At any time you can make changes, and we will discuss how this might affect the quote.

More about how our fees work - including sample invoice (opens new page).

Schedule

Once a quote is accepted, a schedule is drawn up and a completion date is set i
n consultation with you.
