PORTFOLIO

Wasted space:
driveway becomes garden

Brief
Many properties have spaces which aren't fully utilised. This client had a long driveway down the side of their house.

The owners built a carport at the front of their property enabling the old driveway to be turned into garden.

They wanted an area in which to relax and entertain guests. They also wanted a lush green outlook from inside the home and trees and shrubs to protect them from the hot westerly sun.

What we did
We built a path winding through the garden lush with trees that will shield the home from the westerly sun. A pergola covered by cloth and plants provides a shaded outdoor living area.

A beautiful western red cedar gate provides protection from southerly winds.
