PORTFOLIO

Improve lawn, shapely beds

Brief
The owners wanted to replace the current rather unattractive lawn and create shapely garden beds to complement the shrubs and trees already growing.

What we did
Before we could begin, drainage had to be improved, since good drainage is essential for a healthy lawn.

We removed a dead gum tree, laid soft-leaved Buffalo for its good looks and shade tolerance, planted natives and exotics and finished off the beds with eucalyptus mulch.

The client had secondhand bricks which made an excellent edge.

There were already many trees and shrubs in the garden so it was important that the newcomers fitted in. We planted Correas, Grevilleas, a Blueberry Ash, ferns, Kangaroo Paws, Native Violets, Native Daisies, Eristemon and Muehlenbeckia.
