PORTFOLIO

Long space, privacy

Brief
This garden is long and relatively narrow for its length, so the owners wanted to make use of its size without making it look too elongated.

They also wanted privacy, outdoor entertainment and low maintenance.

What we did
We used a circular design to give a sense of space and increase the area for plants in the garden.

See the plans we prepared for this property.

Privacy is achieved by the Camilla hedge and two Japanese Elms planted between the two circles. These trees will be crowned high to allow light to pass through under them.

The colour scheme for the built structures uses the yellow range, backdropped by the lush green of the plants hosting mainly white flowers. Spot colouring in the pink and purple range is used to extend the eye to the back of the garden.

The clothes line was also moved away from the entertainment area and provides a practical reason for visiting the end.

"I would like to congratulate you on a job professionally done and the accounts so well presented."

- Bruce
